हिरव्या पानांच्या या हिरव्या झाडातून रंगीबेरंगी फुले कशी काय येतात ? तो जगत नियंता कधी येतो आणि त्यांना रंग गंध देऊन जातो नकळे !! छोट्या, छोट्या या आपल्या लेकरांचं तसंच असतं ,तुम्ही कितीही शिकलेले असा,मुलांबरोबर काम करताना ती तुम्हाला काही न काही असं शिकवतात, की तुम्ही म्हणताच, या मुलांकडून मी हे शिकलो.खूप अफलातून डोकं वापरतात ही मुले!! प्रचंड ऊर्जा असते त्यांच्यात,न थकता- कंटाळा माहित नसतो त्यांना. त्यांच्या हाताला खूप काम द्या. कृती काम -कष्टाचं काम नवनिर्मिती करायचं काम, मग पहा ती काय रिझल्ट देतात. हाताच्या बोटांची जेवढी हालचाल करतील मुले ,तेवढा त्यांचा मेंदू प्रगल्भ होत जातो म्हणून हस्तकलेचा तास हवाच असतो.
Ever wondered, how do these colorful flowers come from the green leaves of this green tree ? Don't know when the God almighty comes and colors them with beautiful colours and gives them fragrances !! It's the same with your little ones, no matter how big degree we possess, when we work with children, they teach you something. And yes we least hesitate to say, “I learned this from my children.” These kids use their brains to a great extent !! They have tremendous energy and reality is they do not really know boredom. Give their hands a lot of work. Physical work be it hard work or more of creative work, Expose them to different kinds of work possible… then see what results they give.The more children move their fingers, the more their brain grows, so the hour of Crafts is a must.
मी ,ज्या मराठी शाळेत काम करते तिथे येणारी मुले निम्न आर्थिक स्तरातील असल्याने कटाक्षाने मी प्रथम पासूनच उपलब्ध साधन सामुग्रीवर भर दिला .त्यात खजिना गोळा करणं खजिना ,म्हणजे नको असलेल्या टाकाऊ वस्तू गोळा करणे ,त्यात बटण, बुच ,पीस ,रंगीबेरंगी कागद व असं इतर गोळा करण्यास सांगितलं 0शून्य पैसा खर्चातून व उपलब्ध साधनांतून काम करणं, चित्रनिर्मिती करण,शिकवलं.
I teach in a Marathi medium school . The children who come to this school are from low income groups as well. I keep on emphasising on the tools available from the very beginning. I keep on stressing that they should not spend money and always ask them to make use of the available resources to work. I teach them to find treasures from the lot, meaning to collect from waste items, things like buttons, clips, random pieces, color papers and so on .
यावर्षी मी पूर्ण वर्षभरासाठी वर्तमानपत्र हा विषय घेतला आणि वर्तमान पत्राच्या लगद्यापासून व वर्तमानपत्राच्या गुंडाळयांपासून कलाकृती तयार करायला शिकवल्या ,लगदा तयार करण्याची कृती पुढील प्रमाणे--
This year I took up the subject of newspapers for the whole year and taught them how to make artwork from the pulp of a newspaper and from the scrolls of a newspaper. Would like to share the technique with you all-
एका वर्तमानपत्राचे बारीक बारीक तुकडे करायचे ,दोन ते तीन दिवस ते पाण्यात भिजत ठेवायच,पाणी बदलत रहायचे नंतर ,तो लगदा मिक्सरला लावायचा त्यानंतर त्यातील पाणी काढून टाकायचे .
त्यात थोडा फेविकॉल घालायचा, असल्यास थोडसं व्हाईट सिमेंट घातलं तरी चालेल ,मग ते मिश्रण कणिक मळतो तसं मळायचं प्लास्टिकपेपर वर लगद्याचा गोळा लाटला व सुकवला तर हँडमेड पेपर तयार होतो हा गोळा ज्याच्यावर थापाल त्याचा आकार त्याला येतो,.त्यापासून अनेक वस्तू तयार करता येतात, गणपती पण तयार करता येतात.
The process of making pulp is as follows-- Cut a newspaper into small pieces, soak them in water for two to three days. Keep changing the water, then grind it in a mixie into a pulp, Drain the water, add a little fevicol , if any, a little white cement .
This mixture is then kneaded into a dough. When this ball of pulp is rolled and dried on plastic paper, it becomes a handmade paper. The ball on which it is shaped can be used to make multiple things, Ganpati / any idol can also be made.
तसेच वर्तमानपत्राच्या गुंडाळयांपासून तर काय काय करता येईल याचा अंदाजही करता येणार नाही, इतक्या सुंदर सुंदर वस्तू मुलांनी तयार केल्या .लॅम्प शेड ,डोअर मॅट ,टी कॉस्ट शिवाय गरम वस्तू ठेवताना त्याच्याखाली ठेवायची मॅट ही तयार केली .मुलांना एकदा त्यातली गंमत कळली की मुलं खूप काही त्यातून शिकतात आणि तयारही करतात.मुलांना फक्त दिशा दाखवायची, पुढे जे घडतं जातं ते अदभुत असतं.
Trust me, with this my children created beautiful objects with their own imagination. They came up with ideas like Lamp sheds, door mats, coasters. The kids had fun doing the process. When they enjoy the process they actually learn a lot from it and it channelises their creativity. All I wish to say is show the children the direction, what happens next is beyond your imagination.
